Haven’t we all dreamed of being an accomplished writer, singer, or painter?
I always thought my long skinny fingers were meant for the guitar; indeed, I have owned more than one but still remain at best a novice. So it is with some amusement that I find myself recognized as an artist for the metal work that I create.
My tables are the blending of stone and steel. I start with the stone, perhaps a Colorado Red Sandstone or New York Bluestone, and attempt to present the stone in a manner that best presents its uniqueness in a functional form. To see the visual, even visceral, reaction of someone to my effort is truly rewarding.
